…is proud of its exciting and varied evening fare. There are at least 12000 restaurants offering over 52 different types of cuisine from all over the world. Part of the reason for this huge diversity is because the size and scale of the city but actually more fundamentally the difference reflects the make-up and history of this buzzing city. The various waves of development that created Sao Paulo meant that it saw influxes of many different culture…

…ecor and the service is very 1970s. The food and service in the hotels and restaurants is good enough, but again feels a few steps behind. This may be as there is a lot of transient passers through, and so they can get away with it. There is a large Folk Festival in August that is a big deal for the town and has loads of people camping outside the town. Then across summer there are a number of different functions and events, and it feels like the…

Four Seasons Hotel Is One Of The Best Las Vegas Hotels

…if you can, as it is clearly quieter and even the casino at Mandalay bay, restaurants are quieter – and less drunk and loud weekend partying crowds! I highly recommend the Four Seasons Las Vegas. The hotel is fairly active on social media like Twitter, but whoever manages it is not that connected to reception and concierge. We had made some requests about not having room with inter-connected door which was acknowledged, but had not been fed into…

QUEEN VICTORIA: A PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY: MY REVIEW OF THE BOOK

…ress and first appeared in 2010. The book covers the various accomodation, restaurants, bar and lounges, public rooms and behind the scenes. There is a short history of Cunard and then details and commentary on the various sections. This is like the others in the series a book that shows passion and has a great balance of content and pictures. Another great edition to any Cunard and cruise fans collection. P&O ARCADIA CRUISE SHIP: REVIEW AND VIDEOS

…lic rooms but not in the cabins (unfortunately). Arcadia Rhodes and Orchid Restaurants These are the 2 alternative dining options where you pay a surcharge. Both are lovely rooms. We went to the Gary Rhodes one. It was a nice evening – but to be honest the food in the main restaurant was so good and varied that we did not really think it worth the extra cost and so did not go back. It seemed to be fairly empty, although later in the cruise it did…

Celebrity Eclipse Review. Ship tour, staterooms, suites and more

…focus a lot on small bars with themes, with a wide range of special dining restaurants across many styles of food and supplement charges (from about US$10 to US$30) although the main dining room is also very stylish and modern looking. More like a hotel than a ship Overall I think the ship did not feel like a ship, and more like a 5 star hotel that happened to go to sea. I am sure this will appeal to a lot of people, although think it is more targ…

Hotel Intercontinental De La Ville in Rome: many may like it, I really wanted to…!

…atch people gather and enjoy themselves. There are great shops and lots of restaurants close by. · The rooms are large, and as the building is old has high ceilings. Although very traditional styling, which not to my taste, would be generally well liked. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The negatives · Costly! Everything costs a lot. The mini-bar charges are outrageous, the food is costly (breakfast is 35 Euros!), and even spaghetti and toma…

GRAND HYATT SAO PAULO: GREAT EXPERIENCE. ONLY ONE FAULT!

…eople (like me) on business. The hotel is modern, well designed, has great restaurants (including Japanese), busy bar, good pool and good fitness facilities. The bedroom was large, with very comfortable bed, huge bathroom with large shower and separate bath (unusual these days). The work area was great, and there was a huge flat screen TV with many stations in many languages. The internet connection was fast and efficient. The buffet breakfast is…

…myself covering all areas of the ship including all public rooms, cabins, restaurants, lounges, bars, The Bridge, Engine Room, Stores and images of QE2 in ports around the world. The photographs are supported by narrative describing the rooms. The book was a great success and we were very fortunate to be aboard QE2 in September 2008 to sign copies (I was lecturing aboard). Due to the success of the book our publisher commissioned us to extend the…

Cunard Queen Victoria Ship. Review, Photos and Video.

…mentioned earlier, is on deck 11. One thing that is better than the Grills Restaurants on Queen Mary 2 which are on the Promenade Deck and so is no view other than people going for a stroll on the deck looking in, these are right at the top of the ship with wall to ceiling windows and so glorious views across the ocean. The service is, as you expect from Cunard, excellent. They have their “White Star Service” philosophy and training which shows. I…
