…y stayed at better hotels in Singapore. But there is no doubting that this hotel is a good hotel and is a good place to stay. It is, of course, not a cheap place to stay. The rooms, food etc is all fairly costly. The rooms themselves are enormous and very comfortable. The room (which you can see in the video I have posted here) is massive. The bed is very large and very comfy, although other chains do have even softer pillows, there is no doubting…
…oms plastic and the central heating/ cooling just does not work. Luckily for me it was winter when I stayed and I could open the windows to get the room a decent temperature to stay in. The staff in the restaurant were great and the food was good. But expensive for what it was. The hotel was just not worth it. I would not stay here again. Berlin is a dynamic and changing city. There are just much better places to stay at that in some old thing dre…
…e Night Manager agreeing to cut our room bill in half. We were down at the hotel to attend a charity dinner but as the hotel runs many events, we found ourselves in a bedroom with a booming disco and very noisy party goers outside until past 2am. We asked for another room but they had none, and then as we could not sleep after to-ing and fro-ing the night manager agreed that to cut the rate in half. We were annoyed as the hotel knew there was an e…
…n. Though not sure I would want to stay more than a night or two here. The hotel is in a good location right in the centre of things, but as the hotel is in an alley off the busy square (so can be hard to find!) it is very quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly and speak excellent English, and so make visitors feel welcome. I was in the annex which is 2 doors down and up on the 1st floor. It seems that the block the annex in is an apartmen…
Mainport Hotel Rotterdam Reception The Mainport Hotel in Rotterdam is a 5 star hotel that opened in May 2013. It is is modern, plush and has very helpful staff. I really liked staying here. The hotel is in a great location and many of the rooms have great views across the river and the canals behind the river (ask for a room with those views not the city view!). It is just across the Erasmus Bridge, on the opposite side to where the cruise ships…
…This is a video of the Westin Prince Hotel, Toronto, Canada Room 1511. The rate was about Canadian $170/ night that I am staying in at the moment. A review will follow once my stay is over….
…s my video and review of the massive New York Hilton Midtown. This massive hotel is one of the most well known hotels in New York. It is also one of the biggest, and more popular. This is partly due to the location which is perfect for tourists as it is located on Sixth Avenue (also known as the Avenue of the Americas) at 53rd. So it is in very easy walking distance of Time Square, Fifth Avenue and Central Park. The hotel is over 50 years old and…

…e. This trip I had a large room which was very quiet as at the back of the hotel and not overlooking the main road. The air-conditioning is very quiet which is a boon as I hate air-conditioning noise and in most hotels have to switch it off at night no matter how hot or cold it gets! The rooms feel dated and uninspired decor wise, although they are not shabby at all. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and this combined with the quiet made f…
