New York Hilton Midtown. Reliable and Consisent NYC Hotel

This is my video and review of the massive New York Hilton Midtown.

This massive hotel is one of the most well known hotels in New York. It is also one of the biggest, and more popular. This is partly due to the location which is perfect for tourists as it is located on Sixth Avenue (also known as the Avenue of the Americas) at 53rd. So it is in very easy walking distance of Time Square, Fifth Avenue and Central Park.

The hotel is over 50 years old and went through some big renovations over the years. The most recent being 2012 / 2013 to update the public areas, rooms and add new restaurants and bars.

I stayed in a King Suite (watch the video for the tour and impressions). It is a large room, with access to the Executive Lounge on the ground floor where you can have breakfast (impressive buffet) and drinks and snacks in the early evening.

The gym facility is large and impressive at the hotel. I liked it a lot.

Such a big hotel means that service is a bit off-hand and not especially warm and caring, but was efficient enough. I like staying here as it is great location, good sized rooms for New York, good facilities and the beds are really comfortable. It is also fairly well soundproofed.

It is never going to be a hotel that delights and “blows your socks” off. But is reliable, efficient and consistent.
