…who interacted with me. In my experience, a terrible travel experience is due to the basic product being awful or faulty, and no amount of great service and help can diminish that. Even the most plush hotel, restaurant or form of transportation will never be truly amazing and memorable without the people who serve you, and deal with you, being incredible. This is something I will be testing out, exploring and discussing with the crew and passenge…
…taking advantage of the rulings in Great Britian regarding price fixing of hotel rates which means the opening up in the market to better rates for consumers”. I tried out the site to compare prices of hotels here in Las Vegas where I am on holiday this week, and posted the screen grabs on this posting. I wish I had not as found I would be paying less!! Guess I know where I need to be checking and booking from here on then!!! you join and sign up…
…not a lot of evidence of catering for non-English speaking guests. Luxury hotel decor My favourite hotel chain is the Four Seasons. I love the way that they manage to create soothing and stylish decor that is rich on detail, plush, comfortable and successfully combines tradition and contemporary elements. If they decided to create a cruise line they would be frustrated to discover Crystal had out “Four Seasoned” them. I loved the decor of the shi…

…here. I wish I’d booked the cruise line transfer as they knew where to go. Hotels I’ve already mentioned the best hotel rates are by booking direct. In theory, the cruise lines should offer a better rate as they get a volume/ group rate. But as I have seen, this is not always the case. So, compare their quote. For example, for the Silversea cruise I mentioned, their price for a 3-night pre-stay at The Capital 15 on Orange Hotel in Cape Town was ch…
…etings and bedroom we all felt a bit nasal. Although the room windows could be opened, the noise of the trains from the busy station across the road was too much for me to sleep with them open. The view from the hotel is across the railway station and offices, and not very attractive. It is industrial in outlook! The hotel is fine if passing through as handy to get to and efficient, but probably more for causal business trade and meetings than one…
…oor which added to the experience. I am not usually a massive fan of Hyatt hotels as I find the design usually very bland and functional, lacking style. And the service and features very average. This hotel was nothing like that. I really liked it, and if you have meetings or working in that area is perfect. It is close to the domestic airport, but quite a long journey from the international one. Overall a great experience. Watch a video of the ro…
…et to. What happens if you get a bus transfer is that it tends to hop from hotel, to hotel, to hotel – so you can end up taking forever to get to your hotel because you’re going from venue to venue to venue. When you go back to the airport, it’s also very frustrating. It takes a lot of time because they’re dropping off and fetching people. So if you can, book some kind of private transfer because it’s much more efficient, it’s much less hassle, an…
…ns jacket, etc). The lobby is incredible and worth seeing. I stayed at the hotel and have a video of the hotel and room, as well as a review on the blog. As an aside, residents of Monaco are not allowed to gamble in the casino! #3 Yacht Basin From the casino area, walk down the winding hill to the left (or right) and go to the yacht basin. This is incredible. The most jaw dropping ships are there. It is mind boggling the wealth that owners must ha…
…oard and 2 drawers). But as you can see these are really minor issues. The hotel pool area is much better than the photos on the site. It is a decent size with loungers. The pool is not used much as people seem to be in Napa for short trips and so out all day. So we had it more or less to ourselves most days. There is an excellent breakfast with a hot choice of the day, and nibbles and wine in the evening. We really liked this place. It was a haven…
