Doug Parker talks Cruise Radio and Weekend Travel Show @cruiseradio @WkndTravelShow

Doug ParkerI caught up with Doug Parker, the host of Cruise Radio and the Weekend Travel Show, while he was sailing into the port of Cozumel on the Ruby Princess cruise ship.

From his balcony he spoke to me about his background in radio and how his passion for both cruising and travel led him to set up these two radio and podcast shows. Both of which are hugely popular driven by the mixture of news, impressive guests and insider tips and advice from both travel professionals and travellers.

I am a big fan of both shows and highly recommend them for anyone looking for advice and tips. In the interview Doug also talks about topics that included:

  • The most memorable episodes from the over 200 editions of Cruise Radio
  • The biggest changes in cruising over the last few years, and where he thinks it is going to next
  • His must see ports, destinations and land-based vacations

You can listen to the interview online (using this link) or using the audio player below. You can also subscribe for free to my weekly Tips for Travellers podcast to get this and many more interviews and in-depth travel advice on iTunes, Stitcher Radio, TuneIn radio or using the RSS Feed.

I grew up in Zimbabwe, but I have been based in London since 1987. My travel life spans more than three decades and that includes more than 95 cruises. In 2005, I launched Tips for Travellers to make it easy and fun for people to discover, plan and enjoy incredible cruise vacations. And the rest, as they say, is history. I have the largest cruise vlogger channel currently on YouTube, with more than 3 million video views per month.
