Hilton Hotel Zurich Airport (Review and Room Videos)

I stayed at the hotel twice recently – both stays exactly one week apart. Both trips had a different experience.

The hotel is not actually at the airport but is near to the airport. There is a shuttle bus that runs very regularly (about 4 or more time an hour) from a hotel bus area outside the terminal. It is always busy as the hotel is large and seems popular. On the way to the hotel it stops at a Hilton Apartment Hotel and then the hotel. On the way back it stops at that hotel and then 2 other places (which seem to be airport crew or admin buildings) before the terminal. The trip is between about 5 and 10 minutes.

The rooms in the hotel seem to have been modernised fairly recently and are designed with the business traveller in mind. Amazingly comfortable beds, pillows and duvets are the highlight. The large desk with internet access and a panel that takes all types of plugs (Swiss, Euro, UK and USA) is a great touch. The bathroom is really nice with grey slate style floors and trendy basin (with large mirror with lights in). There is a lot of cupboard space, and very good dressing gown..

On my first stop as I had a Hilton Honors Gold card I got put in an Exec Club Floor room. These had, as well as lounge access with evening drinks and breakfast, more touches in the room like free Toberlone chocolate treats.

The lounge was large and really good.

On my 2nd trip I was told I was being upgraded from my standard room to a deluxe. It was probably the same as near as damn it as the other room but had twin beds (I hate sleeping in a single bed as never seem to sleep as well somehow) and no blackout curtains so the spotlights shining onto the hotel make it very light.

The gym is very good as developed and it seems run (though not manned) by Living Well and so has the right equipment.

This is overall a good hotel for an airport one. The staff especially are welcoming compared to many airport hotels
