Welcome to the Finland Tips For Travellers page. It has content I made from my trip to the northern part of the country including the Ruka-Kuusamo region, Syote and Oulu. Visit Finland invited and hosted me whilst there.
During the five day stay I went bear watching in Karhu-Kuusamo, hiking with Era-Susi Huskies in the Oulanka National Park, canoeing along the River Oulankajoki with Outdoor Passion Finland, visited the Pyhapiilo Sauna, white water rafting with Ruka Safaris on River Kitkajoki, horse riding at the Nurminiemen stables in Kuusamo, did am 11-kilometre bike safari with Iso Syote Hotel and Safaris and attended the Air Guitar World Championships in Oulu. A packed and active schedule. I loved every minute of it. Hopefully the content below brings that passion alive.
Take a look at the photographs I took of ten brown bears we saw bear watching in Karhu-Kuusamo.
The rest of the photos I took during the Finland trip can be viewed here.
