Patreon
Some followers of Tips For Travellers asked how they can support the content I create. As most of you know, Tips For Travellers is predominantly an unpaid activity that I love doing. Although I go on many press trips and have some limited paid-for activities and sponsorship, the costs far outweigh any revenue. So like a number of other content creators, I am launching a “Patreon Supporter” program for those that have asked for one or wants to consider doing so.

While all my videos, podcasts and site content will stay open and free to everyone (with none going behind a pay wall or premium), anyone that wants to help in the time and costs of Tips For Travellers content creation can become a Patron using a Patreon.com program.

The Patron scheme is based on podcast episodes released and patrons can offer anything from $1 through to $10 per episode released by signing up via Patreon.com and will receive rewards based on the level they join. To find out more about how Patreon works watch their YouTube video. You can set a monthly maximum too. For example, if you sign up for the $1 per episode that will be $4 a month ($5 in a five week month), but you could limit your maximum to $3 if you like.

If you do sign up the following are the benefits:

Pledge $1.00 or more per Weekly episode
$1 per episode will get you a PDF copy of my eBooks “The Cruise Traveler’s Handbook”, “Essential Guide to Cruising” and “Destinations Tips For Travellers”. If you bought these via online booksellers it would cost you over $20. You will be listed on my Patrons and Supporters page (unless you ask to remain anonymous).

$2.00+ per Weekly episode
$2 per episode will get you a PDF copy of 10 of my eBooks including “The Cruise Traveler’s Handbook”, “Essential Guide to Cruising” and “Destinations Tips For Travellers”, “Silversea Arctic”, “Harz Germany” and “Rocky Mountaineer Tips for Travellers”. You will be listed on my Patrons and Supporters page (unless you request to remain anonymous).

$3.00+ per Weekly episode
$3 per episode will get you the 10 eBooks plus the chance to submit a question to a “Tips for Travellers Question & Answer” episode where your travel issues will be answered along with a dedication and shout out thanks for supporting the show. Each question will also appear as a post on the Tips For Travellers site. You will be listed on my Patrons and Supporters page (unless you request to remain anonymous).

$5.00+ per Weekly episode
$5 per episode will get you the 10 eBooks plus the chance to ask your questions in person as a guest on a special “Tips for Travellers Question & Answer” episode where your travel issues will be answered along with a dedication and shout out thanks for supporting the show. You will be listed on my Patrons and Supporters page (unless you request to remain anonymous).

$10.00+ per Weekly episode
$10 per episode will get you a paperback copy of “The Cruise Traveler’s Handbook”, PDF copies of the other eBooks, and the chance to ask your questions in person as a guest on a special dedicated “Tips for Travellers Question & Answer” episode where your travel issues will be answered along with a dedication and shout out thanks for supporting the show. You will be listed on my Patrons and Supporters page (unless you request to remain anonymous).

I want to stress that all my content will remain free to all, and this is a program for anyone that wants to support Tips For Travellers beyond enjoying the content. Which I want everyone to keep doing!

Gary Bembridge

I grew up in Zimbabwe, but I have been based in London since 1987. My travel life spans more than three decades and that includes more than 95 cruises. In 2005, I launched Tips for Travellers to make it easy and fun for people to discover, plan and enjoy incredible cruise vacations. And the rest, as they say, is history. I have the largest cruise vlogger channel currently on YouTube, with more than 3 million video views per month.
